About Us
Environment Arizona Research & Policy Center
Clean water to drink and clean air to breathe; healthy lakes and rivers that are safe for swimming and fishing; preserved open spaces; clean sources of energy that don’t pollute and never run out — all this should be the heritage we leave to future generations. Our staff research the issues, educate the public, and win tangible results.
About Us
Research
Investigating problems, crafting solutions
Tackling air pollution in Arizona: Though air quality has improved significantly in the last decade as a result of policies at the state and federal level, nearly half of all Americans still live in areas with unhealthy levels of smog pollution according to the American Lung Association. Our report, “Danger in the Air,” shines a light on smog levels in metro areas across the country and puts forth commonsense policy recommendations to alleviate air pollution.
Education
Educating the public and making our voices heard
In 2011, we informed thousands of Arizonans about ways to use less energy, save fuel and save money. By taking simple steps at home, the average Arizonan can take control of their energy use, reducing emissions and decreasing our reliance on fossil fuels.
